Yesterday I took a young hunter hunting and we got into this field and struck up some birds on the neighboring property, it is late season here is TN and normally I would soft call , but this time I did a lot of cutting added with long sequences of yelps and it wasn’t long 2 Tom’s came under the fence and came right in our laps and the hunter was able to harvest his first bird!

Does anyone know what call he's using for the yelp?

New turkey hunter here: got my first turkeys to return a call in a highly pressured area, super stoked about it. Signs to look for would be: feathers, scratch marks, droppings....anything I'm missing? Spring season right now...thanks folks!

I know you know what's going on brother . Just by listening to the way you talk . You definitely have to know the ways and behaviors of the eastern wild turkey. To become a good bird hunter . This 2024 season as been a lot more difficult from listening to other bird hunters . I had my second to the best season I've ever had this season and only got 1 bird . To me it's all about calling the bird in . I could care less on pulling the trigger . Remember this . . . When you pull the trigger . . . The show and the education are over . For that hunt . I won't even pull the trigger unless I know 99 % I'm going to kill him . I don't want him to be spooked or educated from me messing up. It's not about coming home with a bird every hunt but I'm still into the learning stages . It's a different classroom and a different teacher in every hunt for me . Central Virginia is where I attended bird school 😂

Didn’t realize I had accidentally fighting purred to a turkey thinking I was doing just a little different purr. Got a Turkey I was chasing to u turn back to me.

The day I don’t get excited when I see game will be the day they cover me with dirt.

Any one taking a rifle to turkey hunt is not a turkey hunter

We can only hunt the month of may for spring in Vermont. Then have to wait until fall

4 days ago, beautiful Tom came charging in but it took me 2 hours. Finally some leaf rustling got him to commit. Safety came off and he spotted that damn decoy and was gone in a flash. Really is frustrating after hunting these mountain birds, its a ton of work getting up in the hills before they do day after day. I'm done with decoys.

I like the hick up I mix it into my soft n contentment calls sometimes

Yesterday I was walking through the hardwoods calling and I saw a small patch where there was no leaves. So I thought maybe that’s turkey sign. Not too far and I found a turkey feather. I wondered how it got there. Maybe that was where they were roosting. My encouragement is now up. I can’t wait to look for more signs and get back to hunting the thunder chickens.

Only heard two turkeys all season I'm in Southern Ohio anybody else have the same problem or do I just suck

Tips from you are one of the big reasons I killed my first bird this year in my first season. It took 3 days of chasing the same Wiley ol bird but 05/01/2024 I got my 26.4lb Maryland public land turkey. Thank you for teaching those of us who don’t have anyone to teach us in person!

Would you use a full fan stutter on a field in fall? To try to challange another gobbler or would you rather use no decoy and just call with a gobble call, what’s would you do?

This is the truth you get them videos where dudes be yelling with calls non stop big tom gobbles and goes wild nah real life those turkey are silent as can be and them toms do not gobble and will spot you long before you knew he was there turkeys can be so deadly at sneaking in its crazy

Almost got a huge gobbler today, biggest I've ever seen in the place I hunt. Unfortunately I kicked up deer and that was it. I've been using your videos as reference and I'm trying to bag one. I enjoy your channel.

It's early season here and it sucks best is 3rd week in pa

I normally get about 1 a year this year got 2 and my brother 1 so 3 really and missed one and 2 I should've got 1 I moved when I should've set and the last I set when I should've moved, but thank you you for all you do for us it is really appreciated
